Field of Interest Funds
The Claremont Community Foundation links community needs with resources by raising, managing, and distributing funds to support programs and projects in the following fields of interest:
Health/General Welfare. Programs with primary purpose of improving or maintaining physical or mental health, socioeconomic conditions, and/or social support systems for individuals and/or families
Education. Programs designed to increase knowledge, understanding, and/or skills of youth or adults, enabling them to function as more productive members of the community or society
History/Cultural Heritage. Programs focused on preserving historical information and/or artifacts, and/or developing or enhancing understanding and appreciation of the rich multicultural heritage of our region
Performing Arts. Programs intended to enrich the community by increasing availability and/or accessibility to drama, dance, and/or musical performances
Visual Arts. Programs and projects intended to enhance the visual environment of the community through creation and/or public installation or exhibition of visual art
Funding awards and distributions are recommended by committees of volunteers and approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors.
Field of interest funds may be available through a focused initiative
process and/or an open competitive grants process. Initiatives are developed by Foundation volunteer committees who assess community needs and recommend a particular funding focus to address those needs. Calls for proposals in selected initiative areas will be posted on this website and announced in local media. Contact
the office regarding current initiative focus areas. Our current focus is on initiative funding rather than open competitive grants; however, you may contact the office regarding application materials and possible future deadlines for open competitive grants.
